Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) - A police report and autopsy results show the UND student found dead in March in the Grand Forks rail yard died of blood loss after his right arm got tangled in a train and torn off.
Twenty year-old Blake Christopher Ayling had a blood alcohol content of .287, according to the report. He was apparently dragged, but not run over.
One of his roommates told investigators he routinely walked through the train yard as a short cut to get to campus from their apartment. Police have since determined that his death was an accident.
