Police say Fargo man found at Hector wandering taxiway in boxers

FARGO – Police arrested a 20-year-old Fargo man after he was found wandering around a construction area at Hector International Airport early Wednesday wearing nothing but boxer-style underwear and talking about aliens and space, Lt. Joel Vettel said.

A construction crew reported finding the man wandering around a taxiway area that’s under construction and marked with no-trespassing signs at about 3:20 a.m., he said.

When officers arrived, the workers escorted the man to the fence. Police arrested him on suspicion of criminal trespass and took him to a hospital for a mental evaluation.

Vettel said it was dangerous for the man to be on the taxiway, and the construction activity added to the danger.
