The Main Avenue Bridge was closed to traffic this afternoon, for a young man threatening to jump into the river.
The incident happened about 2:20, when a teenager climbed over the rail, and threatened to jump.
A number of officers eventually talked the young man back to safety. The incident lasted about a half-hour. Traffic was backed-up for some time.
