Two men behind bars after passing counterfeit money at a Fargo business

(WDAY TV) - Two Blaine, Minnesota men are behind bars after passing counterfeit money at a Fargo business.

Two Blaine, Minnesota men are behind bars after passing counterfeit money at a Fargo business. 23 year old Sebastian Massaquoi, and 33 year old Tac Por Derrick Gbleah are facing charges of forgery and counterfeit.

Police say they passed a counterfeit 100-dollar bill at the Old Broadway on Saturday, and then passed another on Sunday. Employees of the OB noticed the fake bills and called police. Police believe at least eight phony bills were passed at three other businesses.

LT. Joel Vettel – Fargo Police: “It appears their method of operation, was to wash the bills with some type of chemical, so in essence wash the coloring off the bill, and then re-print on the same paper.

The Secret Service has been called to help in the case.
