Names released of people killed in fatal crash near Fergus Falls

Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) -- We now know the names of the two people killed in that crash just south of Fergus Falls.

Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) -- We now know the names of the two people killed in that crash just south of Fergus Falls.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office says they're 48-year-old James Shierts and 42-year-old Wendy Mears, both of Fergus Falls.

Authorities say Friday night, they found a heavily-damaged silver SUV on it's roof near County Road 25.

It rolled several times - throwing Shierts and Mears from the vehicle. The two died from injuries at Lake Region Hospital.

The crash is still under investigation.
