Suicide attempt shuts down Main Avenue Bridge

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Main Avenue Bridge -- plus bikes paths in Fargo and Moorhead were shut down for about 30 minutes today as police tried to talk a suicidal female out of jumping off the bridge.

    Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Main Avenue Bridge -- plus bikes paths in Fargo and Moorhead were shut down for about 30 minutes today as police tried to talk a suicidal female out of jumping off the bridge.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Main Avenue Bridge -- plus bikes paths in Fargo and Moorhead were shut down for about 30 minutes today as police tried to talk a suicidal female out of jumping off the bridge.

Authorities from both sides of the river were on scene -- both Fargo and Moorhead's police and fire departments, the Clay County Sheriff's Office, plus F-M Ambulance.

Law enforcement was able to talk her down, and took her to Sanford for treatment.
