Victims' Names Released In Deadly Rural Crookston Accident
The Polk County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Thomas Briggs of rural Mentor and 77-year-old Lawrence Trudeau of rural Red Lake Falls died in an accident Thursday east of Crookston.
Authorities have released the names of the two people killed in a head-on collission Thursday four miles east of Crookston.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Thomas Briggs of rural Mentor and 77-year-old Lawrence Trudeau of rural Red Lake Falls died.
The accident happened yesterday afternoon at 4:10 on County Road 11 four miles east of Crookston.
Two others, 23-year-old Jessica Briggs of Crookston and 19-year-old Kari Shaugobay of rural Mentor, MN, are in critical condition at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Authorities say the road was icy when the head-on collision happened.
Autopsies are being done, and authorities are still investigating.
