(WDAY TV) -- Early estimates show the roads are about to get crowded for the fourth of July holiday.
Triple A projects nearly 42 and a half million Americans will drive 50 miles or more from home.
That's a five percent increase over last year.
The North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska region is projected to see a whopping 15 percent increase in travel. That's due in large part to low unemployment in the region.
