Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A huge "theft ring" busted in the metro area tonight.
33-Year old Jeremy Tibiatowski and 35-year old Jason Leines of Fargo are in jail in connection with a theft ring that has netted hundreds of pieces of evidence.
Using search warrants, Fargo police found a gold mine of stolen items in the garage of Jeremy Tibiatowski, who along with Jason Leines, police say, are behind a huge theft ring involving hundreds of items. Jewelry, electronics, construction tools and more.
Joel Vettel with the Fargo Police says, "Cooperation from the public and good police work that really tipped the scales and led us to the suspects."
And cooperation from Pawn America helped police with the case. A program called Leads on Line, has pawn shops listing their items online so Police can look for anything suspicious....it worked.
Adam Klesh, Pawn America employee, says, "We upload info, drivers license phone number serial numbers and descriptions and at the end of the night we upload to leads on line and police have access to that."
Fargo Police Headquarters is getting calls from people wanting to know if their missing items are included in the "loot" police found. Detectives are contacting people about the evidence .
Fargo Police offer on line registration of your property and personal items.
It is called, "My Property." We have made a link to that on our website, at wday.com
