Fargo police warn of online house rental scam

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo Police have a warning about another online home rental scam. The person posted a house for rent at 4332 Timberline Drive South. They wanted the first month’s rent Moneygrammed to California.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo Police have a warning about another online home rental scam. The person posted a house for rent at 4332 Timberline Drive South. They wanted the first month’s rent Moneygrammed to California.

The problem is it’s a flood buyout home. It's for sale, not for rent. A resident contacted city planners about renting it and learned about the scam. The unidentified website advertising the rental has since removed the home from its listings.
