Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Lindenwood Park is about to see some changes.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Lindenwood Park is about to see some changes. Each year, the Forestry Department removes between 500 and a thousand trees around the city. This year, the Department is removing about 47-trees from the Park. Most of the trees being taken down died from constant flooding. Others have Dutch Elm Disease.
Jeff Habberman – Fargo Forestry Director: "Unfortunately some years are worse than others. After we experienced those extended midseason floods like last year, we see a lot of this sort of thing."
Each year, the Forestry also plants between 1-thousand to 3-thousand trees to replace the one's they took out.
