We've all played with them....legos, but a group of kids is now using the toys to study something a little more complex. The NDSU Distance and Continuing Education Program is teaching students about junior engineering with legos. They're hosting special camps for the next 2-weeks. More than 70-students, from 6-years old to 8th grade, will take part. Today, the kids learned how to build a wagon. Over the course of the camp, they’ll eventually be building a ship.
Kassi Houser – Vehicle Engineering Instructor: "They follow certain instructions and everything is strategic and they really have to work together to have a finished project.”
The kids also learn about the importance of leadership and teamwork.
