Elizabeth, MN (WDAY TV) - The last month has been filled with a roller coaster of emotions for Scott Burris's father. He went from hopeful, to confused and now, unanswered questions.
Roger Burris – Scott’s Father: "To me he was a good son, always treated me well."
Scott Burris was living with his father when he disappeared last month. Roger says they were close, when he wasn't home they talked 2,3,4 times a day.
Roger Burris – Scott’s Father: “I always had hope but I couldn't figure out from day 1 being his phone was shut off and then somebody suggested maybe somebody shut if off for him."
Roger says he's now hearing Scott told some people he needed to disappear for a while. Now with that hearsay, and a homicide investigation, this father who thought his son told him everything, says he's clueless.
Roger Burris – Scott’s Father: "Hopefully one day I’ll have some answers."
Authorities say Scott wasn't someone who was ever in much trouble. Roger says he had a couple of small violations - never anything serious - leaving him wondering who could've wanted his son dead?
Roger Burris – Scott’s Father: "Somebody has got to know something.."
Authorities say because of where Burris's body was found just down the river from here they believe his body was dumped just below the Orwell Lake Dam. They say for the body to get here from where his vehicle was would be impossible.
Police say they believe this is an isolated incident, and don't believe the public is in danger.
