Hermantown, MN (WDAY TV) -- A Hermantown High School assistant golf coach is charged with giving beer and wine coolers to some of the players.
26 year old Kyle Ernst faces one gross misdemeanor count in Scott County of furnishing alcohol to someone under 21.
Some members of the boys' and girls' golf teams from Hermantown were staying in Shakopee after playing the state high school golf tournament in nearby Jordan.
Court documents show Ernst admitted to buying the alcohol because the students were upset about losing the state tournament by one stroke.
