West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- West Fargo will become a racing heaven over the next five days, reigning NASCAR champion Tony Stewart returns for a third staight year on Wednesday, before that, the most popular driver in North Dakota is back as Donny Schatz and the World of Outlaws make their return after a three year absence.

Donny Schatz/Former World of Outlaws Champion: "It's been a long time coming waiting for it, anticipation, waiting for it, here it is, so butterflies are coming in, everything started for me, be here 20 years later and be apart of it in a bigger way...it's huge, couldn't ask for anything more."

How was the season gone so far?

Donny: "I'd say very average, we started off with a win right away, try to build on it, 10 points out of lead, way too early to look at championship, havent had performance we want, coming home could be a big key go to Grand Forks and Fargo both and come out with wins....season would be turned

around."

You feel have a leg up on the guys

seeing it for the first time?

Donny: "Probably do have an advantage, prep the track, World Of Outlaw drivers at best when they've never been there before, dont' matter where you take them, wouldn't expect them to be any different, expect same thing, one of those guys, hold the home turf, keep it here in North Dakota."

The Outlaws run tonight in Grand Forks, we'll have highlights, then in West Fargo tomorrow night.
