Traffic is backed up for miles due to a fiery head on crash

Buffalo River, MN (WDAY TV) -- Traffic is backed up for miles. At a standstill on i-94 east of Moorhead as fire and rescue crews are responding to a firey head on crash

It happened around 4:30pm in an I-94 bridge construction zone at mile marker 8 at the Buffalo river..traffic there is head to head.

A semi and a passenger car collided head on in a construction zone. The semi burst into flames.

A Woman in one of the cars was Lifeflighted by Sanford to the hospital. No word on the extent of her injuries, or if anyone else was injured.

The semi driver was not injured.

East bound traffic was stopped from the scene all the way back to Moorhead. At least 6-miles.

At this hour traffic is being diverted off 94 to 336 and Highway 10 around the crash.
