Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Over the next two weeks, hundreds of young football players will descend upon Dacotah Field and the NDSU practice fields with the dreams of playing for the Bison.

Today NDSU is wrapping up it's annual youth camp which drew nearly 700 kids

for the 3 day event, nearly double what the same camp got a couple years ago.

Next week NDSU holds it's individual camp, where high school players will try to impress the staff.

Head Coach, Craig Bohl, says, "typically to along with that we will find and we will sign half of the guys we find out of a recruiting class will come through camps. Camps have not been a recruiting point of emphasis, but make no mistake we do utilize a lot of the evaluation that we have during camp."

The Bison individual camp begins next Friday.
