Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) --Everyone is always looking for the best deal. It seems every day coupons flood our newspapers, mailboxes, and now, our inboxes. But did you know there's a way to store everything onto one device?
Tired of the clipping and the snipping, the cutting and then, eventual losing of all those cash-saving coupons? Well, you can finally put down those scissors because there's an app for that
It's called SnipSnap. The smartphone application is only a few months old, but has already seen hundreds of thousands of downloads.
You simply scan the coupon with the camera on your phone, then crop the photo. Just like that, you have digital copy of your coupon. All the cashier needs to do is scan the saved barcode.
The application will send you in-store reminders if you have a coupon that can be used where you're shopping. It also gives you expiration updates if time is closing in on you.
But don't ditch those printed coupons quite yet. Since the coupon can be easily shared with friends, not all stores will accept the digital copy.
This application is only available on the Apple market, but should be available for Android phones before the end of 2012.
Update: The application Google SkyMap is only available on the Android market. We've created a link to a similar application that's available on the Apple market, just click the Easy Link
