LINTON, N.D. (AP) — Residents of the south central North Dakota city of Linton favor a workplace smoking ban in the city.
About 67 percent of voters on Tuesday recommended the City Council approve a ban. The Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control Policy says if that happens, Linton will become the ninth North Dakota city to pass a smoke-free workplace ordinance.
Linton would join Bismarck, Fargo, Devils Lake, Grand Forks, Napoleon, Pembina, West Fargo and Cavalier.
