Transport company is sued in order to give money back after manhunt

(WDAY TV) -- Federal authorities are suing the transport company, to help several agencies get some money back from the manhunt of an escaped prisoner.

The suit against Extradition Transport of America asks the judge to order the company to pay back some of the agencies who helped form a search party to find Joseph Megna, plus the farmer.

Dennis Smith was forced to harvest his cornfield, before it was ready. He could get 25-thousand dollars. Some agencies have already been paid back.

The transport company says its insurance company is working to make sure everyone is paid
