Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - North Dakota's high school graduation rate is almost the best in the country. The state ranks second, just behind New Jersey.
North Dakota had nearly 86% of students graduate. Minnesota came in 4th with 86.2% and South Dakota was below the national average with 69.5%. The data is for 2009 graduates and the 73.4% rate for the country was the highest since the 70s.
