Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - North Dakota's Democratic candidate for Governor is laying out his plan for property tax relief. Ryan Taylor says there can be meaningful property tax relief without approving Measure 2.
The state senator says his plan pushes for a reduction of $100,000 of the full value of a person's primary home. It also offers a 15% renter’s income tax credit for up to $900 per year.
Taylor has repeatedly said that he is against approving Measure 2.
Ryan Taylor – (D) Candidate for ND Governor: “I think it's important to note that this relief would be paid for with funds from our state surplus. This would ensure that we do not diminish local political subdivision revenues and we would make sure that our local communities are still maintaining local control.”
Taylor will face off against Republican Governor Jack Dalrymple in the November general election.
