Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) - The final day of the Major League Baseball Draft was a great one for some local players who had their phones ring from different clubs. One of those players was former Fergus Falls standout Derek Hansen, who was selected in the 25th round by the Oakland Athletics.

Hansen just wrapped up his junior year at Augustana. He was an all-conference pitcher for the Vikings, and 3rd team All-American. Hansen was joined by two other local players; former West Fargo pitcher Matt Strahm goes in the 21st round to Kansas City, while Mayville State's Nick Anderson was selected in the 32nd round by Milwaukee. No Bison or Sioux players were drafted.
