Microsoft hosts DigiGirlz camp at south Fargo campus

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Technology camp for kids was the scene at Microsoft today. Middle school and high school girls got the chance to part-take in Microsoft's DigiGirlz camp. The girls took part in various activities such as GeoCache, mini courses, and even got to create a Kinect program of their own.

The goal of the project was to learn how the process of computer programming works. Microsoft hopes with the camp to increase the number of young women involved in technology-focused careers.

Ally Devier – Dilworth: "I like to learn different things so whatever, something new that I haven't learned yet I hope to learn."

Girls came from across the nation including North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Florida.
