North Dakota's oil boom is hampering all sorts of jobs in the state, including lawyers. North Dakota's Bar Association is doing a study on how the oil boom is affecting the legal system. The groups president says it's hard to find lawyers for family law and criminal defense work, because the courts and attorneys are swamped with work. A task force will be meeting to suggest ways the Legislature can help ease the problems of the justice system.
