West Fargo, Shanley making waves in high school golf

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - We showed you how good the eastern half of the state has been in baseball this year, it's not even close to how dominant they've been in golf. Two teams stand out, West Fargo and Shanley. The Packers and Deacons have traded wins all season long with the Deacons most recently claiming the EDC title. Now they're ready for another showdown at state.

Riley Johnson – West Fargo Golfer: “They always get us on the first day and we're trying to change that on the first day. Then we'll hopefully shoot good on the second day and hopefully take it this year.”

Tyler Rivard – Shanley Golfer: “The first half of the season we just had a tough time putting good scores together. But, now as the last couple of tournaments have come. We seem to consistently get 4 or 5 good scores out of our top 6. So, I think we're just starting to peak at the right time.”
