Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Just one day after Morrie Lanning announced he'll retire from the Minnesota House, a long time Moorhead conservative says he will seek the district's seat. Republican Ken Lucier made his announcement this morning in front of friends and family at the Clay County Courthouse.

The 64 year-old retired postman says he is staunchly pro-life and pro-traditional-marriage. He ran for Minnesota's U.S. Congressional District 7 seat in 2006, but lost to Colin Peterson.

Ken Lucier – (R) Seeking MN House Nomination: “I've been working in politics now for about 40 years and to my chagrin the tentacles of government have only gotten longer, stronger and more invasive in our lives.”
