Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Downtown Community Partnership is moving forward with its second round of meetings over a Business Improvement District, a special assessment area to keep downtown cleaner and safer.

The partnership will be holding 11 more of these coffee-table meetings with business leaders to discuss the financial estimates. It was decided to divide downtown Fargo from 7th Avenue North to 1st Avenue south and University Drive to the Red River into 5 different pricing Tiers.

The tiers are based on location and services provided, with stores along Broadway paying the most.

Mike Han – CEO, Downtown Community Partnership: “We really want to get the property owners, the business owners, the residents and say, 'Hey, what do you think of this plan? Is this something you can support?'

The next meeting will be next Wednesday at the HoDo from 5:30-to-7:00.
