VCSU athlete wins national hammer throw title

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — Valley City State University has a national track and field champion.

Darien Moore won the hammer throw title at the NAIA National Championships in Marion, Ind., with a toss of 200 feet. The junior from Bakersfield, Calif., is in his first year with the Vikings after transferring from Bakersfield College.
