Discussion continues on the placement of Fantasys in Grand Forks
East Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- The East Grand Forks city council met in a closed meeting with the city attorney Tuesday night to talk about a lawsuit by Fantasys adult store.
East Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- The East Grand Forks city council met in a closed meeting with the city attorney Tuesday night to talk about a lawsuit by Fantasys adult store.
Owners Kim and Jim Patterson are suing the city after it shut the business down.
They were told they couldn't open in the commercial zone. Leaders call the store a sexually oriented business, which is only allowed to open in the industrial zone.
The owners opened the Fargo-based business in East Grand Forks without contacting the city, after struggling to open the same store in Grand Forks.
