Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A Fargo lawmaker is starting a new campaign to make medicinal marijuana legal in North Dakota.
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A Fargo lawmaker is starting a new campaign to make medicinal marijuana legal in North Dakota.
Democratic State Representative Steve Zaiser's proposal would allow someone with a a "debilitating medical condition" to grow and use marijuana, and possess up to 2-and-a-half ounces of the drug.
The proposal was turned into Secretary of State Al Jaeger's office yesterday. Jaeger's approval is needed before the initiative petition can be circulated.
The proposed law says someone with cancer, HIV, post-traumatic stress disorder and other conditions may use marijuana legally.
