One of WDAY's greats took part in our 90th anniversary celebration. Longtime radio announcer Don Dresser appeared on the Christopher Gabriel program this afternoon.
Don was a popular host of the morning show on WDAY for 32 years. He often had a co-host with him. At the time, there were just four radio stations in Fargo-Moorhead. His show featured a lot of live interviews, music and WDAY News.
Don Dresser – WDAY Veteran: “It would be fun to start. I was 28 when I started here. Now I’m pushing 80. I get up and look in the mirror and say ‘what the heck happened here?’ so it's fun when you're young. I worked 23 days in a row without a day off, and enjoyed every minute of it.”
Dresser was one of several veteran WDAY Radio employees who appeared on the live broadcasts today.
