Ever since NDSU joined the Missouri Valley Football Conference the stakes were raised between the Bison and Northern Iowa. Tension built between the two schools when former UNI defensive coordinator Chris Klieman left Cedar Falls to come to Fargo, which makes the news of defensive back Andre Martin transferring from UNI to NDSU even more juicy.

Martin has enrolled as a grad student at NDSU, meaning he has 1 year of eligibility and can play right away. Martin had 17 tackles last year for UNI and Craig Bohl knows he can help.

Craig Bohl – 10th Year Head Coach: “We’re going to start him at corner, and certainly have good depth at corner. Very rarely do you play with 2 DB, outstanding special teams, raise the bar, known quantity in Missouri Valley, got great game experience and good tape to back it up.”

The Bison also added another Junior College player in John Tauteoli from Mount San Antonio College in California. He's 5'11, 230 pounds and is originally from Utah. NDSU is hoping for a Chad Willson clone.
