We are weeks away from the London Olympics but they are getting a head start at Fargo's Discovery School. More than 900 students took part in opening ceremonies for a planned week-long Olympic Games Competition.

Students represented several countries from around the world. Our own Dana Mogck helped open the games. There are academic and athletic events scheduled all week. It kicked off with a focus on competition and cultural diversity.

Mary Ann Donnay – Discovery Phy Ed Teacher: “I think it is good to show people we can get along in a fun competitive way. We have been focusing on the bullying issue and this is a good way to compete and have fun at the same level.”

Discovery will host International Arts night until 8 o'clock with music, food and art. It's open to the public.
