Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Another Fargo Marathon is in the books, and according to Race Director Mark Knutson, it was another big success.

More than 20,000 people ran in 8 different races on the weekend, but the event wasn't flawless. As we showed you yesterday, the finish to the half-marathon had many scratching their heads, wondering how Fargo's Andrew Carlson could get blocked by some 10 K finishers. Knutson addressed that question today.

MARK KNUTSON - Fargo Marathon Race Director: “We did everything we were supposed to do or that we could have done to keep the people in the right lanes. We coned that lane in the middle to the finish so that we keep the 10 K runners on one side and the half marathoners on the other. We feel bad for Andrew because they happened to move over at a bad time for Andrew and I think it caught him off guard.”
