MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — A late-summer trial is scheduled for three people at a Mandan business who are accused of conspiring to sell synthetic marijuana.
The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/Kk0M0L ) that William Nickel, Ryan Zueger and Cassandra Nickel are to stand trial Aug. 23 and 24. They have pleaded not guilty to a felony conspiracy charge.
William Nickel and Zueger are owners of the Big Willies smoke shop. Cassandra Nickel is an employee. The three are accused of buying a plant material with a substance that is banned in North Dakota. They say they were returning the product to a supplier after learning it was illegal when police intercepted the package.
