It's crunch time for female tennis players in the state of North Dakota. The East Region tournament begins tomorrow in Grand Forks, while State is the following weekend in Fargo. As usual it's Red River and then everybody else in girls tennis, but West Fargo lost only two duals and finished 2nd to the Riders in the regular season for the 3rd straight year. They also nearly beat them in a tournament on Saturday.

Sammie Smith – West Fargo Sophomore 1st Singles: “It definitely boosted our confidence a bit. It showed other teams.”

Sarina Olson – West Fargo Senior: “We wanna show we've worked really hard and wanna show that, so that's what we've been trying to do.”

Chad Anderson – West Fargo Head Coach: “Red River is good and they're gonna be good for a couple more years but I think other teams are gonna start catching up, as soon as a couple of girls graduate in 2-3 years. I think we've all built ourselves up here in the Fargo area and I think we're gonna catch up.”
