MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Divers have recovered the body of a 21-year-old Mankato woman who disappeared while tubing on a southern Minnesota river.
Blue Earth County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Mike Maurer (MOW'-ur) says divers located the body of Jenny Mae Kraling (KRAY'-ling) just after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Kraling was tubing with three friends on the Blue Earth River south of Mankato when she either jumped or fell off her inner tube around 3 p.m.
The Free Press (http://bit.ly/JGgvs8) reports one of her friends tried to help her several times before she went under and did not resurface.
The search took place below the Rapidan Dam south of Mankato. The dam was turned off to help in the search.
Kraling's body was found in 16 feet of water. She was not wearing a life preserver.
