Empower the Taxpayer Movement not dismayed by poll numbers

The leader of the movement to abolish property taxes says she was disappointed by our Measure 2 poll numbers, but is far from throwing in the towel.

An exclusive Forum Communications Poll revealed that 74% of voters likely to vote in the June 12th election plan to reject the property tax measure.

The Empower the Taxpayer Movement will spend more money to make sure voters understand exactly how property taxes would be replaced.

Charlene Nelson – Empower the Taxpayer: “The easy answer is the state has the number already. You've already been playing a surplus of taxes and it's time for that surplus to be returned to voters in the form of property taxes.”

The poll was conducted by Essman Marketing, an independent research firm based in Iowa.
