For the 3rd time in four years, the Bison men's basketball team has added a late recruit for the upcoming season. As we first told you on Saturday, Elgin, Illinois swingman Kory Brown has signed with NDSU.
Brown is 6'4, he averaged 16 points and 8 rebounds a game this past season. His high school coach told me he will be the best defender on campus when he arrives in Fargo.
Kory Brown – NDSU Basketball Recruit: “I've grown up playing defense. There's not that many people out there let me do something that many people don't do and stand out from everyone else. If they have to look between a guy who has 20 points and a guy who has 30 points, but the 20 point guy his man only scored 5 points on him.”
Brown had offers from South Dakota State and Western Illinois. He becomes the 3rd member of the 2012 class, joining Brett VandenBergh from Wisconsin and Bismarck's Dexter Werner.
