The Detroit Lakes Police Department is mourning the loss of a long-time officer. Nineteen year veteran Chad Lutz died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound Sunday night near his home.
Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon says Jutz was well-regarded and active both in Detroit Lakes and the Frazee community. Gordon says Jutz was not under any kind of investigation. Jutz leaves behind a wife and four children.
