'Walk For Life' Fundraiser held in Grand Forks

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) - People of all ages geared up for the 'Walk For Life' fundraiser this morning in downtown Grand Forks.

    The 'Walk For Life' benefits the Women's Pregnancy Center, a nonprofit organization that has been serving men and women in the Grand Forks area for the past 25 years.

People of all ages geared up for the 'Walk For Life' fundraiser this morning in downtown Grand Forks. The 'Walk For Life' benefits the Women's Pregnancy Center, a nonprofit organization that has been serving men and women in the Grand Forks area for the past 25 years. Today's 2-mile-walk is one of two fundraisers the center does each year. Organizers are hoping to raise 30-thousand dollars to be used toward a variety of services the center offers.

Lorraine Helgeson – Director: “We're so happy for the sunshine number one and just for all of the people who came out to support us today it's amazing to see so many people.”

Prizes were awarded to 'top' walkers.
