FARGO – The Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is alerting the public that scammers have been wrongly using the organization’s name going door-to-door asking for magazine subscriptions.
The scam, which asks for subscriptions on behalf of the organization, reportedly took place in a Moorhead neighborhood earlier this week, according to a Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch news release.
Anyone who has more information or encounters the door-to-door scammers should contact the Moorhead Police Department at (701) 299-5141 or the Fargo Police Department at (701) 235-4493.
The Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch does not engage in door-to-door solicitations of goods or money, the release said.
