Students in Pelican Rapids will now have a place that honors a beloved first grade teacher who died unexpectedly last August. This morning, hundreds of students took part in the dedication of this sledding hill in memory of Paul Pfeifle.
Students raised more than $3,000 by selling memorial shirts and bracelets. Along with a stone plaque, a new path will be added to make the hill safer for sledders.
Martha Pfeifle – Widow: “Loved to be with the kids, loved to play with the kids. He always wanted the sledding hill, it's just awesome that it finally came together.”
Construction of the hill starts May 28th.
