Texas man sentenced to 10 years for attempting to transport minor

U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says 47-year-old Rodney Goodwin of Dallas was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years and one month in custody, to be followed by five years of supervised release.
A jury convicted Goodwin in February of contacting an underage girl via social media and the telephone and convincing her to run away.
