MState recognized as being in the top 10% of nation's community colleges

Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) - For the second time in a row, MState Community and Technical College is being recognized as one of the top 10% community colleges in the nation.

    The award by the Aspen Institute makes the college eligible to compete in the 2013 Aspen Prize for community college excellence.

For the second time in a row, MState Community and Technical College is being recognized as one of the top 10% community colleges in the nation. The award by the Aspen Institute makes the college eligible to compete in the 2013 Aspen Prize for community college excellence.

That distinction comes with a $1 million reward. This is the second consecutive year M-State has been eligible for the award which ranks the best 120 out of 1,200 community colleges.

Carrie Brimhall – Fergus Falls Campus Provost: “We don't have a gap in student achievement, so all students who attend M-State are achieving at the same rate, which says a lot about how we work every day with each of our students.”

NDSCS in Wahpeton also received the same distinction.
