NDSU Baseball vs. Southern Utah

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Earlier in the day, Tod Brown's NDSU squad had a shot to take 3 of 4 from visiting Southern Utah.

The Bison were able to get hits, they had 7 thru 6 innings, but no runs. The Thunderbirds turn two end the 4th. The Bison left 8 runners on base today. Southern Utah led 1-0 at that point.

Zach Wentz was on the bump for NDSU, trying to get every out he can, he nails his pick-off attempt to first, Nick Colwell with the tag. And it stays a 1-run game.

But, the T-birds drive 3 across in the 6th, Marcus Romero doubles to the wall. David Headley scores.

Southern Utah takes the finale, 4-1. The Bison will need the bats to wake up next weekend, when they host First place Oakland.
