North Dakota's per-capita personal income is riding the oil-boom, and jumping from 38th in the nation to now number 9.

State and federal agencies say it has risen more than 78 percent since 2000.

The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis says per-capita personal income last year was nearly 46-thousand dollars, that's more than 20-thousand higher than 10 years ago.

A large growth in agriculture also helped boost the numbers.
