FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A judge has reduced the distance in a no-contact order from 300 yards to 100 for a Fargo surgeon accused of drugging and sexually assaulting his wife.

Dr. Jon Norberg is accused of having sex with Dr. Alonna Norberg after giving her propofol, a medication that gained notoriety in the case of a doctor who treated Michael Jackson. Trial is Aug. 28.

The Forum reports (http://bit.ly/IOlnPm) the order means if the Norbergs agree, both can attend the same event. Jon Norberg complained the original order forced him to miss some of his children's events.

The Associated Press typically does not identify victims of sex crimes but Alonna Norberg has spoken publicly, once to deny her husband's claims she agreed to the medication as part of treatment for a debilitating disease.
