Police still looking for driver who caused head-on collision

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Police are still looking for a driver who caused a head on collision and then fled the scene. It happened shortly before 2 this morning in North Fargo.

Officers had a driver pulled over for suspicion of drunk driving, when the driver of a red pick up truck slammed on his breaks. Police thought it was odd and tried to pull him over.

The driver turned the wrong way onto University Drive and hit a car head-on, before pulling into the NDSU Alumni Center.

LT. JOEL VETTEL - Fargo Police: “The driver took off on foot, running from the police, and we were not able to locate the driver last night. We are currently investigating that to determine what, if any charges are going to be pending for the driver of the motor vehicle in the crash.”

Two people in the other car were treated for unknown injuries. If you have any information about this accident you are asked to call the Fargo Police Department.
